As TAFCE moves into the future, I look forward to being at the helm. Your board will work tirelessly to keep TAFCE moving forward. If we are all focused on the ultimate goal of membership, leadership, and service to others, great things are in store.

– Preside at the TAFCE State Board
– Serve as TAFCE’s official representative
– Appoint special committees and committee chairmen
– Report to membership at annual Business Meeting
– Submit reports to NAFCE
– Perform all acts and duties usually performed by an executive and presiding officer
Esther Button
President Advisor
– Serve on State Board as ex-officio member and advisor to the TAFCE President
– Assist the President and perform all assigned duties
– Serve without a vote on the Board
– Send copies of correspondence to the Board and Advisors as appropriate
– Coordinate Creative Writing Project
– Assist with TAFCE annual conference as per Conference Guidelines

Vice President for Programs
– Direct activities of Education Committee
– Submit all State Project Reports
– Chair the Nominating Committee
– Assist the President
Pamela McIntyre-Albaro
Vice President for Public Policy
– Coordinate Family Community Leadership (FCL) Program
– Chairperson of the Certified Volunteer Units (CVU) program
– Coordinate public relations activities
– Manage Best-of-the-Best Award
Sarah Sharp
Secretary
– Keep a complete record of all TAFCE State Board meetings (minutes)
– Have charge and supervision of the books and records of TAFCE
– Sign papers as authorized by the State Board
– Send all notices required by the Bylaws
– Make full reports of all matters pertaining to the office as required by the Board

Treasurer
– Provide detailed ledger and computer-generated reports
– Receive and keep records of all TAFCE funds
– Pay all expenses authorized by the President
– Report all matters and business at each Board meeting, including the TAFCE annual conference

– Represent their region
– Keep region membership informed of all business, programs, projects, and activities of the State
– Make oral report at quarterly State Board Meetings
– Serve on Finance, Nominating, Bylaws, and other Committees as requested by the President
– Assist Region Conference Coordinate the year they are host Region

EDUCATION COMMITTEE:
Anita Ground
Information Technology (IT)/Communications
– Communicate with Region Education Committee informed on State programs
– Keep information on TAFCE website current and correct, working with UT State Advisor
– Publish TAFCE Newsletter, TAFCE Taffy monthly
– Provide and manage PowerPoint presentations at TAFCE State functions, such as FCL training, TAFCE State Conference, etc.
– Provide PowerPoint presentation for TAFCE Annual Conference (County Flags, Cultural Arts, and Fashion Revue)
Cindy Mishtal
Cultural Arts
– Receive and coordinate entries for displaying, judging, and viewing entries at State Conference
– Work with IT/Communication Chair to present PowerPoint of winning entries
– Work with Host Region and UT Advisors to secure at least six judges for State Conference
– Work with Host Region to secure proper exhibit space at State Conference
– Conduct a Viewer’s Choice vote
– Other duties specified in Guidelines for TAFCE Annual Conference

Fashion Revue
– Receive and coordinate entries for displaying, judging, and viewing entries at State Conference
– Work with Host Region and UT Advisors to secure at least three judges for State Conference
– Work with Host Region to secure proper space for collection and judging of entries
– Work with IT/Communication Chair to present PowerPoint of winning entries
– Other duties specified in Guidelines for TAFCE Annual Conference
